For our third trip we had the pleasure of camping with friends from work. The Conleys, Scroggins, Moralaces, and Martins all met us at Lake Texoma. We had a great time. Rickey and Dennis have this camping thing down to a science. They thought of everything and had a huge setup for group meals with every kind of outdoor cooking gadget you could think of. They have been doing this for a while and it shows. The 5 campsites were all together with a big open area in the middle right on the lake. They set up lots of games, horseshoes, washers, ladder ball and darts. Although we were right on the water we didn’t swim. There wasn’t a beach area and the edge of the lake by the campgrounds looked too swampy. This would be the perfect campground to bring a boat. We had a great time being around friends and really enjoyed all the company. Once everyone left we moved to camp site #9 which was right beside the lake. The boys swam here and enjoyed the open grassy area for playing soccer and running around. My Uncle Gary lives close by so we had the privilege of visiting him and his wife, Cindy. They have a beautiful log cabin house on a farm with fishing ponds and lots of animals. The boys had fun fishing, and playing with the animals. It was a great visit.
I got to celebrate my birthday here in Lake Texoma, so that makes our 2nd birthday in the RV and we haven’t even gone fulltime yet. We had to leave Wednessday morning to make it back in time for a Ranger Game. So far this camping things is lots of fun.
Lake Texoma on a 1-10 was an 8. It would be a great lake if you also had a boat with you.
